چکیده

A hybrid-excited doubly salient dual-PM machine (HE-DSDPM) was presented by using the structural multi-tooth modification for an improvement of torque production. The structure HE-DSDPM clearly described. PM and stator arcs were further examined optimization. electromagnetic performance including magnetic flux distribution, linkage, back-electromotive force (back-EMF), total harmonic distortion (THD), cogging torque, investigated with various field current under same constraint. simulation based on 2-D finite element analysis used to validate all performance. results showed that proposed provides best stator/rotor combination, appropriate characteristics enlarged winding slot area. This produces better overall because its improved symmetrical path greater regulation quality. In particular, it can generate a larger average 26.18% lower ripple about 4% compared conventional at no since good back-EMF profile low torque. largest variance percentage is occurred when excited different currents HE-DSDPM. Hence, could be beneficial in electrical design other types structures.

A novel PM motor with hybrid PM excitation and asymmetric rotor structure for high torque performance

This paper proposes a novel permanent magnet (PM) motor for high torque performance, in which hybrid PM material and asymmetric rotor design are applied. The hybrid PM material is adopted to reduce the consumption of rare-earth PM because ferrite PM is assisted to enhance the torque production. Meanwhile, the rotor structure is designed to be asymmetric by shifting the surface-insert PM (SPM), ...

Dual-Stator Interior Permanent Magnet Vernier Machine for Torque Density and Power Factor Improvement

An improved topology of a low-speed permanent magnet vernier machine called a dual-stator interior permanent magnet vernier machine (DS-IPMVM) is introduced to significantly increase torque density and power factor. Dual-stator is usually adopted in machine design for more torque and the abundant space utilization. Interior spoke-type magnet array in the rotor is designed for magnet flux focusi...

Field Oriented Control of Dual Mechanical Port Machine for Hybrid Electric Vehicle

A dual mechanical port machine (DMPM) is used as an electrically variable transmission (EVT) in hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). In the conventional HEV, this machine is replaced by a planetary gearbox and two electric machines and makes this structure simpler. This paper presents field oriented control (FOC) for DMPM. For HEV application, drive efficiency and wide operating speed range are impor...
